This was difficult to solve until I realised having my certificate installed wasn't enough, it had to be explicitly in the Trusted Publisher section

The ClientAccessPolicy bit here is incorrect (even for the beta). However, I've seen it all over the web. First: CAP can't be used to control in-browser elevated trust. Second: the settings shown are actually part of the out-of-browser settings file. Hope that helps someone who uses this article.

I get another issue: I want to record sound many times overwriting the same file.wav.
if I repeate all steps in a loop (open - set format - record - save - close) there is no issue and the file is overwritten during record step, but if I repeate only (record - save) in order to save computing time, no error is raised but the file.wav doesn't change and cannot be renamed from explorer side (the file seems in use from another program).
I use the MCI_RECORD_OVERWRITE flag, too.

please help me

solved by myself!
the error was due to MCI_WAIT flag in record API: in that way, I run record step and it was in background "waiting" until DwTo time expired! in the same time I was trying to stop current recording, but MCI_WAIT flag is blocking.

Thanks to Mohammad because I solved debugging his source code!

I follow the post but I have an error when trying to stop current recording: I repeate record step(DwTo=60000) at infinite with while(1) in a thread but when I try to stop recording, the following error is raised:
Error=#303"Cannot carry out the specified command on an auto-opened device. Wait until the device is closed, and then try again."

Any idea?

I have the same problem. On one computer it works. On the other one I have the same access violation exception as stated in the post above.

Excellent!
How could I get PCM points during recording?
Actually I'm able to record 5 seconds, save buffer to wav file, parser it and then analyze samples.
Anyway, I would analyze points in real-time: I think it's possible beacause windows sound recorder shows in real-time the wave on the screen.

What kind of exception do you receive? Ensure that you have the elevated-trust permissions and the COM component is installed on client machine.

This works fine from visual studio dev environment. But when i deploy this ... or any other OOB like creating new blank excel sheet, it does not showing up. Can you please also right deployment steps.
